We are thrilled to have chef, Amarpal Harrar, starring at this year’s James Du Pavey Food Theatre!

Amarpal is an experienced and inspirational chef who has run classes and team building sessions for many years.

Amarpal is also founder and director of ICookIndian, a family business on a mission to promote and develop students’ skills, in cooking ‘home style’ Indian food with confidence. Amar has taught Indian cookery courses and team building sessions for the likes of M&C Saatchi, Chevron and KPMG and currently teaches courses at Perrys Field to Fork in the nearby town of Eccleshall.

Amar enjoys sharing his expertise with students and seeing the joy of their faces when they are able to take home a meal for two that they have created from scratch.

Founder, Amarpal Harrar has been inspired by his experiences living in India as a child.

“I remember the sights and smells from vendors stalls selling delicious authentic street food like samosas, pakoras and tikis in the village in Punjab I come from, I was five at the time. Just thinking of it makes my mouth water!”
