We are delighted to announce that the Original Biscuit Bakers will be sponsoring the Original Biscuit Bakers Heritage Gingerbread Trail & Contest at this year’s Ginger and Spice Festival 2024 on Saturday 28th  September. The family focused trail will take place from 9.30am until 4.00pm in and around the centre of Market Drayton & will be a key event at this year’s festival.

The Original Biscuit Bakers Heritage trail event is free of charge to take part in and is dedicated to exploring the town’s heritage, shops and attractions as well as the local history.

Each participating business and organisation has been asked to dress a gingerbread character to the theme ‘Olympic Sport 2024” and display at their business premises or shop window.

Families are asked to find all the gingerbread characters on the trail and judge their favourite. The organisation with the most votes will be declared the winner.  For balance and fairness the Market Drayton Deputy Town Mayor, Councillor Tim Manton, along with a “sporting guest” will also judge their favourite gingerbread character together to choose another winner.

To incentivise participation, a FREE prize draw will take place from all of those who complete the trail quiz correctly and one participant could win the following:

Child: A gingerbread hamper

The trail’s is also sponsored by over 40 local businesses and organisations who will take part in and sponsored the trail by placing a decorated gingerbread character in their shop or business premises window. See the supporting sponsors here by clicking and scrolling down.
