We’re thrilled to announce that we have successfully secured funding to bring back the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band Experience for our 2025 celebration! Thanks to the incredible support from our local community and a generous contribution from the Community Action Fund via CrowdFund Shropshire, this vibrant cultural spectacle will return to Market Drayton on Saturday 27th September 2025.

Crowdfunding Success

The festival raised an amazing £4,979 through a crowdfunding campaign hosted on Spacehive, including a substantial pledge of £3,053 from Shropshire Council’s Community Action Fund. This support enables us to deliver a truly immersive cultural programme as part of this year’s festival.

What’s in Store for 2025?

Following the huge success of the 2024 Rajasthan Heritage Experience, which dazzled visitors with colour, rhythm, and energy, the 2025 programme promises even more! We’re planning to expand the experience and bring even greater joy to the streets of Market Drayton with:

  • 🎷 Free live street performances from the electrifying Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band, bringing their unique blend of traditional Indian music and marching band style to the heart of town.

  • 🖐️ Interactive Indian cultural workshops including block printing, mehndi (henna), and creative crafts.

  • 🥁 Drumming workshops led by Art Brasil, open to all ages and abilities.

  • 🥳 A brand-new community festival parade, featuring the Brass Band and bringing together local schools, charities, and community groups.

  • 🎶 Additional music and performance sessions by local artists and drumming groups to keep the town buzzing throughout the day.

Access for All

One of the most exciting aspects of this project is that all activities will be free to attend, ensuring that everyone—regardless of financial circumstance—can participate in and enjoy this cultural celebration.

“We are absolutely thrilled to have raised the funds and secured additional support from the Community Action Fund to bring back the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band to this year’s festival. We’ve spent the last 8 months fundraising to make this happen and, thanks to the generosity of our community and Shropshire Council, we can now go ahead with our plans! A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible – we’re delighted!”
