Chef line up at the Ginger and Spice Festival 2019

We are privileged to have so many amazing chefs demonstrating at this year’s Ginger and Spice Festival.

From 10am to 5.00pm on Saturday 28th September 2019, you can watch the very best top, regional and local chefs getting spicy in our Live Cookery Theatre at the back of the Clive and Coffyne Pub.

Chef Rachel Green

Rachel Green is an award-winning chef, food writer, food campaigner, and TV presenter. A farmer’s daughter from Lincolnshire, Rachel has cooked for Her Majesty the Queen and at the Savoy Hotel, London. Her TV appearances include The One Show, Countryfile, Sunday Brunch, World on a Plate, Farm of Fussy Eaters and Flying Dishes. She has many strings to her apron, including demonstrating at The Ideal Home Show, The Game Fair, BBC Countryfile Live as well as several food ambassador roles. Mallika Basu

Mallika Basu is an Indian cook, food writer and author of two books Masala: Indian Cooking for Modern Living and Miss Masala: Real Indian Cooking for Busy Living. Mallika also writes a regular column for the Evening Standard as well as ad hoc cookbook review, restaurant and travel pieces. Dr Sue Bailey is a food scientist, historian, Senior lecturer & culinary history consultant. Dr Sue Bailey is passionate about educating, inspiring and supporting foodies as well as demonstrating and performs as Fanny Craddock –  one of Britain’s fist celebrity Chefs – at food events and festivals.

Christopher Burt has over 32 years experience in the industry & heads up The Mytton & Mermaid creative culinary team as well as River Town, his corporate Private & Pop Up company. He is a consultant development Chef for Finnebrogue Artisan in Northern Ireland, creating new dishes & flavour profiles for premium U.K. food retailers.
