This year’s Leek United Heritage Spice Trail was a great success with over 100 families taking part during the two days.

Dining Contest
Taking into account the scores for each Restaurant and the number of entries for each, we are delighted to announce that the winning eatery in our 2019 Dining Contest is the Hinds Head Village Pub & Restaurant in Norton-In-Hales. As judged by the participants in the 2019 dining contest!
Landlady of the Hinds Head Pub in Norton In Hales, Donna Hand, said: “We are so delighted to be chosen as the winners for the Ginger & Spice Dining Contest 2019! Many thanks to our wonderful customers who visited, took part and gave such fantastic feedback”.
The winner of the prize draw for dinner for two at the Hinds Head, Village Pub and Restaurant plus a hamper of artisan goodies, was Mrs Karen Turner.
Karen said: ‘’We really enjoyed the whole festival with so many different attractions over so many days. Really special festival to have in our town.’’

”There were three age categories, under 8’s, 8-12 and 13-17. We had over 50 entries, hopeful of winning their category prize. The standard was very high, and there were lots of amazing designs created, making the judge’s decision very hard. We are delighted with the success of the event and the pleasure and fun this seemed to bring to everyone who participated.”
