The medieval town of Market Drayton is situated in North Shropshire, close to the North Staffordshire and South Cheshire borders, near to Wales.
Located off the A53 in between Newcastle under Lyme and Shrewsbury. The villages of Loggerheads, Hinstock and Audlem are nearby, also the towns of Whitchurch and Nantwich.
The town is also connected via the delights of the Shropshire Union canal, about a mile from Tyrley Locks, where a flight of five locks make this one of the most interesting sections of the canal. Talbot Wharf – an independent boat yard for fuel, gas and chandlery.
