Ricky Ross, the lead singer, songwriter and founder of multi million album selling British group, Deacon Blue, is to perform at the award winning Ginger and Spice Festival 2018 at Festival Drayton Centre, with supporting act Heidi Browne, on Saturday 29th September from 7.30pm at the Festival Drayton Centre.
Ricky Ross will be performing his ‘Short Stories live vol 1’, which includes playing brand new songs, revisiting well-known Deacon Blue tracks and other less well known songs from throughout his 30 year career as one of Britain’s best loved songwriters
Ricky Ross, said,
‘‘I was very happy to get the call from the Ginger & Spice Festival asking me to perform Short Stories Live this year. What could be better than a music and food festival in the Shropshire countryside?
This album is like a souvenir of my solo shows. They’re intimate, minimal, a chance for me to revisit songs that started out life with just piano and vocals, and take them back to their roots, as well as play some new songs inspired by recent times.”
Local singer song writer, Heidi Browne, will be supporting and she said:
‘I am thrilled to be returning to my hometown theatre supporting a musical legend. The festival is a brilliant initiative; food and music as two of the greatest aspects of culture and I can’t wait to perform my songs at this magical event’.
