Val Stones, who starred on the Great British Bake Off 2016, will be demonstrating at the award winning, 2nd annual Ginger and Spice Festival, on Saturday 29th September in the Kadai Firebowl Food Theatre from 11..30am approximately.
Val, who is also known as the ‘cake whisperer’ will be demonstrating how to make her traditional, passed-down family gingerbread recipe, as well as exciting the crowds with a rich and indulgent pudding made with the local heritage Billington’s Gingerbread and Port!
Val Stones will be one of 7 other chefs/ cooks who will be starring at the festival on Saturday 29th September demonstrating seasonal and spice inspired recipes in the Kadai Cookery Theatre located in the beer garden of the local heritage pub the Clive and Coffyne – named after Clive of India who hails from the town.
Val Stones said, ‘I couldn’t be more excited than to be starring at an award winning festival taking place in Market Drayton – the Home of Gingerbread! I will be making a tried and tested gingerbread recipe as well as giving hints and tips on how to perfect the bake, helpful for those who like baking for fundraising events and school fetes. I will also be showing children how to decorate gingerbread novelties with local gingerbread company Image on Food. I am really looking forward to it.’
